I am a software engineer who loves to travel, be adventurous and see new things, but I have a bad relationship with sleep. Since I can remember, I have had difficulties falling asleep and staying asleep. I have tried countless things to improve my ability to sleep, but the typical suggestions just don’t do the trick.
Traveling makes sleeping nearly impossible, and lately that has made me more anxious when I travel. I try to predict how little sleep I will get to plan naps, mentally prepare for the exhaustion and not get disappointed when I can’t do all that I want to do.
But no more! I am starting the journey to heal my relationship with sleep, and I want to bring you along for the ride. I hope this blog will provide hope for other traveling insomniacs to not let sleep ruin your trip. I will share my travel stories, favorite places and recommendations, while also sharing how I planned for sleep.
This blog will share:
- Tips, tricks, advice, complaints, rambling thoughts on all thing sleep (and how difficult it is to get!)
- Fun stories and adventures, with recommendations for the places I visit to get the best experience!
- Best Coffee Shops! As a no-sleep girlie, I need my coffee, and as a coffee snob, I need good quality coffee (and not that burnt, overpriced Starbucks)
